Schedule

Full Time – Nights (11:30pm - 8am).

Responsibilities of an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) – Assisted Living- Direct day‑to‑day operations of a designated nursing assignment in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines governing assisted living facilities.
- Provide and monitor resident care to ensure professional nursing care per AL policies, Health Department regulations, and the Maryland Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act.
- Communicate information to assist caregivers in understanding resident care needs, and delegate care appropriately; supervise caregivers to ensure proper care.
- Explain procedures and treatments to residents; administer prescribed medications and treatments as per policy and approved nursing techniques; perform nursing procedures not delegated to caregivers (e.g., catheterization, dressing changes, injections).
- Record significant conditions, vital signs, weights, pain, and reactions to interventions; ensure weights are obtained per policy or as ordered; notify the DHS and physicians of a resident’s condition and reactions requiring medical attention.
- Make daily rounds in each building to which you are assigned to stay aware of residents’ condition and environment, ensuring nursing staff perform assignments to acceptable standards of practice.
- Possession of a current LPN license issued by an accredited college or technical school program.
- Minimum of one year of experience caring for the elderly.
