The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room will provide high-quality patient care. This role requires the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. Every other weekend and holiday work is required. Nurses will handle a patient ratio of up to 4 patients during their shifts.
Candidates must demonstrate skills in blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, and emergency medications. Strong communication skills and the ability to triage are critical for this position. Candidates must be comfortable with procedural sedation administration and monitoring. The unit is supported by respiratory services, radiology, transportation, and social services. Daily census averages around 90 visits. The environment is diverse, caring for adolescents, adults, infants, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
All candidates must meet the compliance requirements and complete assigned training modules. Travelers are encouraged to plan their schedules to accommodate required assignments. No requested time off is permitted during the first two weeks of the contract. Candidates must provide two supervisory references supporting their experience. Professional adaptability and flexibility are essential for success in this role.
