American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a general Emergency Department position requiring Cerner experience and prior travel assignment history.
Details- Work in a General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:30
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- No on-call requirements
- Active RN license (Compact or MD state license) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS required; ENCP and TNCC preferred
- 3+ years of ED experience required, with 4-5 years of strong ED experience preferred
- Cerner charting system experience required
- Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
- Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
- Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, and administration of emergency medications
- Experience with procedural sedation administration/monitoring
- Preferred skills include blood product administration, central line care/management, and care of ventilated patients
- Provide emergency care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population
- Perform triage and maintain isolation precautions/PPE protocols
- Previous charge experience preferred
- First-time travelers are not eligible; prior travel assignment experience is required
- Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower pay rate
- Candidates with previous employment at this health system must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
