Job Summary
The Fleet Card Sales Representative will be a critical part of the Fuels Marketing division, reporting to the Senior Director, Commercial Fleet Fuel Programs. This field‑based position will focus on increasing sales within Global Partners’ owned or supplied locations by attracting businesses or governmental agencies that operate company vehicles to fuel with us. The role requires travel within the territory, with an overnight stay up to 40% of the time, and is open to candidates located in MD, PA, or VA.
Responsibilities- Regularly meet, and often exceed, monthly KPIs (accounts, revenue, activities).
- Develop, with the Senior Director, a strategic plan to attack the territory from both geographic and vertical segment perspectives.
- Maintain accurate records within the company’s CRM and support existing customers to ensure continued fuel usage.
- Assist customers with online functions, resolve account or store‑level issues, and train retail and field employees on fleet programs.
- Partner with inside customer relations to ensure rapid account implementation and activation.
- Understand the high‑speed diesel business and drive growth at Global Partners sites.
- Collaborate with the sales team to increase knowledge of all programs and share best sales practices.
- Demonstrate exceptional discovery and presentation skills through superior product and competitive knowledge.
- Achieve consistent quota performance in a business‑to‑business sales environment.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required.
- At least 5 years of outside sales experience, preferably in the fuel card or fuel industry.
- Proven ability to sell against the competition.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team‑oriented work style.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the territory.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing demands and elicit cooperation from diverse sources.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Pay Range: $66,600.00 – $93,200.00 (final amount based on experience, skills, location; subject to change).
