We are seeking a highly proactive self‑driven Business Development Manager who will play a key role in driving the continued growth of our business. In this role you will identify new market opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and position qmFOins as a preferred partner for GMP‑compliant analytical testing services in the fields of Microbiology, Chemical/Physical Analytics, and Environmental & Utility Testing.
Responsibilities
- Identify target and acquire new customers within the Swiss (Bio)
Pharma sector through proactive outreach and event‑driven lead generation. - Drive sales growth by developing new business opportunities and closing deals aligned with strategic objectives.
- Implement targeted sales strategies to accelerate market penetration and strengthen regional presence.
- Plan and execute sales activities to achieve ambitious revenue goals.
- Manage existing accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross‑selling.
- Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, and industry events.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records in key IT systems, including CRM tools and customer databases.
Qualifications
- A scientific degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in customer interaction, ideally with initial exposure to business development.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Microbiology.
- Solid knowledge of GMP regulations, essential for performing the role effectively.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in common IT applications, including MS Office and CRM systems.
- Excellent spoken and written English skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 20 %.
