The work schedule for this position is Sunday through Thursday, 9:00 pm to 5:30 am (Graveyard). This is not a telework eligible position. In office work is required daily.

The Records mission is to accurately apply legal document information to DOC, the public, and offenders so they can trust established jurisdictions. The Washington State Department of Corrections is seeking a detail oriented and collaborative individual to join the Warrants Unit as a Correctional Records Technician (CRT). The goal of this position is to maintain the security, accuracy and control of physical and electronic DOC Secretary's Warrant records within the agency.
As a Correctional Records Technician, you are tasked by the agency to be the custodian of records. In this role, you will support the DOC's mission, vision and commitment by processing all DOC Secretary's Warrant records for individuals who are on escape or abscond status from confinement or within the community. Additionally, you will assist DOC staff and law enforcement in the apprehension and extradition of individuals with active DOC Secretary's Warrants and serve as the DOC after-hours contact for immediate/critical issues and action(s) needed for law enforcement regarding individuals under DOC jurisdiction.
