General FunctionThis role supports the Company’s mission to promote and guarantee premium and professional eyecare experiences with every patient at their local practice. The position also advances the profession of optometry in the healthcare industry and establishes the practice as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community.
Responsibilities- Work closely with managing and associate doctors to ensure the highest standard of patient care and workflow efficiency.
- Lead team performance by coaching, inspiring, and developing team members to deliver unsurpassed patient experiences.
- Recruit and select high‑caliber, success‑oriented talent and build a talent pipeline for succession.
- Monitor all aspects of practice operations, providing on‑the‑job training and support to team members in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
- Analyze practice financial data and make recommendations to optimize overall practice profitability.
- Control profits and expenses for the store through operational functions, sales, and medical/vision insurance claim accuracy, labor, supply ordering, etc.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of eyecare business and patient care, transferring knowledge to superior patient experiences and business results.
- Follow workforce management guidelines to optimally staff all practice hours of operation.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper inventory management procedures.
- Drive change management activities in the practice, including adoption of new technology, processes, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all Company‑approved safety programs are implemented and maintained.
- Work weekends and evenings in support of business needs (varies by location).
- Adhere to attendance and daily time‑keeping requirements.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a proper dress code.
- Perform other duties as assigned or as business needs.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- 4+ years of management/supervisory experience, preferably in an eyecare/healthcare setting.
- Proven track record of delivering results and growth.
- Excellent business and financial acumen, including operational analysis.
- Familiarity with technology such as point‑of‑sale, patient record systems, and other software applications.
- Strong communicator and listener.
- College degree or equivalent.
- ABO Certification.
Pay Range: $80,168.40 – $94,175.30. Competitive bonus and/or commission plan may also be offered. Benefits include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and various employee discounts.
