Property Management Division (PMD)

The Property Management Division is responsible for providing comprehensive facilities management through the capital and operating budget process. The Property Management Division falls within the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Bureau and consists of three sections, the Facilities Section, the Fleet Section, and the Supply Section.

The Supply Section provides logistical support to all members of the WSP. This support is accomplished in a variety of ways that includes warehousing and issuing commodities; purchasing all equipment including Information Technology (IT) items, vehicle equipment, uniforms and weapons; managing agency assets and processing surplus property.

The main responsibilities of this position are to receive and store product by designing and developing product movement and storage systems, improving operations by providing leadership and training to subordinates when required.

Our new teammate will be able to:

  • Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements.
  • Implement and evaluate policies and procedures; develop processes for receiving products, equipment utilization, inventory management and shipping.
  • Assist with the outfitting of large groups of cadets and new employees.
  • Maintain accounts and reconciliations of physical inventories using manual and/or automated system; oversee disposal of surplus or excess property when required, maintain inventory levels in accordance with established guidelines to meet customer demands.
  • Operate various material handling equipment such as forklift trucks and pallet jacks manual or motorized.
  • When necessary, train subordinates in warehouse activities.
  • Check, oversee and supervise the tracking of all incoming shipments and goods received; make proper entries into the inventory system database; responsible for receiving, checking, storing and shipping goods; industrial and mechanical office supplies to include communications equipment parts and components.
  • Possess knowledge of inventory systems and large‑scale stock control.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or GED certificate.
  • Minimum two years' experience operating forklifts, light truck, hand truck, pallet jacks (manual and electric) and Dollies.
  • Must be able to physically relocate 50 pounds.
  • Must possess a valid, non‑probationary, and current Washington State Driver’s license.
Conditions of Employment:

Successful completion of pre‑employment polygraph examination and background investigation. Must possess a valid Washington State driver's license.
