About the Job

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a locally owned organization in Olympia, WA, to find their next Operations & HR Manager. The ideal candidate is a business-minded professional who enjoys working in a small company environment, wearing multiple hats, solving problems, and moving comfortably between financial reporting, HR administration, operations, and special projects. You do not need to be a CPA, but you should be comfortable reviewing financial reports, asking questions, identifying trends, and using financial information to help leadership understand how the business is performing.

  • Coordinate employee benefits administration and required employment documentation
  • Track employee training, certifications, and performance review schedules
  • Support managers with performance management, employee development, coaching, and corrective action processes

  • Supervise an administrative support employee and help prioritize workload and responsibilities
  • Improve administrative systems, workflows, and processes
  • Coordinate vendors, service providers, office operations, software subscriptions, and company records
  • Track important renewals, licenses, insurance, and deadlines
  • Coordinate special projects and assist leadership with implementing strategic priorities
