HDR is looking for a Senior Construction Consultant to join our national Trenchless Services team. This role will report to the Trenchless Services Engineering Lead, with primary responsibilities supporting the execution of design and field services associated with trenchless services: engineering, design, and construction applications.

Responsibilities- Provide Construction Oversight for Trenchless installations.
- Conduct constructability reviews of Trenchless engineering efforts.
- Conduct daily reviews of deliverables for Trenchless construction activities.
- Conduct site visits during preliminary engineering efforts.
- Conduct Route Assessments for Trenchless aspects of Pipeline Siting & Routing efforts.
- Oversee Trenchless Construction Oversight activities (i.e., coordinating staffing, developing/reviewing CM scopes).
- Support Business Development for Trenchless services through some client interface.
- Coordinate subcontractor scheduling, quality control, and related activities.
- Prepare the Project Management Plan or Construction Management Plan.
- Develop procedures for executing construction contract administration activities (document, change, time, cost, quality, and safety management) and implement with the project team.
- Perform additional construction management activities, including procurement development - construction schedules, subcontract scopes, review of terms, constructability and value engineering reviews, cost and schedule management, and project construction performance presentations.
- Administer and manage construction activities and monitor progress of the overall design as related to construction requirements.
- Perform value engineering and constructability reviews.
- Coordinate local bidding efforts for quotes obtained in the field.
- Assist in procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages.
- Coordinate document management and review/submittal processes (shop drawings, pay applications).
- Prepare, issue, and negotiate Change Orders.
- Review or coordinate construction schedules and ensure alignment with project baselines.
- Control the project budget and schedule.
- Coordinate and manage project quality assurance, control, and inspection services.
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with the Health and Safety Program through communication and inspections.
- Prepare and update project schedules, pay requests, and progress reports (daily, weekly, monthly) including budget and schedule performance.
- Coordinate local bidding efforts and take responsibility for project setup and temporary facilities.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Professional Engineer (PE)
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
- Experience with estimating software, scheduling software, project management software, and web-based collaboration software for document exchange.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction planning and management, including contracts, document/time/cost/quality management, change management, safety, bidding, scheduling, procurement, and related areas.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the Owner, Engineer, Contractor, and other project stakeholders.
- Active participation in HDR’s employee-owned culture is preferred.

The targeted salary range for this position is $135,000 - $165,000 based on experience and location.
