As a Member Solutions Repossession Specialist, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a team that truly cares.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring all pre‑ and post‑repossession notices are sent in accordance with local and state laws.
  • Assigning vehicles to approved repossession agents, including tracking and follow‑up for timely location of the collateral.
  • Ensuring proper file maintenance is placed on the account at the time of assigning the repossession and at the time the vehicle is repossessed.
  • Disposing of repossessed collateral via auto auctions.
  • Ensuring timely receipts of all proceeds of sale.
  • Processing and collecting insurance claims and refundable contract premiums, including primary insurance, gap insurance, service contracts, and other sources of revenue on assigned accounts.
  • Managing WSECU’s collateral portfolio while focusing on aging accounts within the repossession queues.
  • Monitoring the results of all repossession agents, auctions, and insurance companies to ensure maximum recovery values for WSECU.
  • Obtaining and negotiating flexible and attainable payment options for borrower(s). When needed ability to cross‑sell other Credit Union products for resolution.
  • Maintaining a scorecard percentage of 85% or higher each month.
Qualifications
  • Minimum two (2) years of financial institution experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years of consumer collections experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year of repossession and skip‑tracing experience.
  • Knowledge of lending and financial regulations (FDCPA, FCRA, and SCRA).
  • Tactful, effective communication skills—listening, speaking, writing.
  • Ability to communicate information with emotional people in a positive and diplomatic manner over the telephone.
  • Ability to form recommendations with clear and concise written support.
  • Ability to calculate interest rates and percentages and to research and solve numeric discrepancies.
Compensation

Competitive base pay: $27.25 – $40.88 per hour, dependent on relevant qualifications, plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits package. The target starting pay for this position is $27.25 – $34.06 per hour, typically within the first half of the range.

Location & Work Arrangement
  • Location:

    330 Union Ave, Olympia, WA. Employees must reside and perform all work in the state of Washington.
  • This is a work‑from‑home/hybrid position with the exception of occasional on‑site training, meetings and specific organization events.
  • Working hours:

    Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm. Full time, minimum 40 hours per week with scheduling flexibility to meet service needs for this non‑exempt position.
  • Required:

    reliable, high‑speed home internet connection; private, confidential workspace away from distractions; suitable desk/surface and desk chair.
