Description
The Switchboard Operator position is responsible for answering the hospital’s main lines, responding to the customer, and processing calls in the most efficient and expedient manner; for public address paging, remote pager paging, radio paging, inputting physician messages, providing customers with physician contact information, monitoring and responding to all hospital/campus alarms and emergency procedures, documenting and maintaining files of all communications materials.
The position contacts cath‑lab on‑call staff for emergency medical procedures, contacts on‑call bio‑med, maintenance, spiritual care, and administration staff, and processes all calls and messages to SSIP physicians.
- 2 years Switchboard experience.
- Experience in a medical environment.

Compensationand Benefits
Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate’s placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
