Position: Dentist (Part-Time)
South Puget Sound Community College is seeking a part-time Dentist for the  academic year.

The position is available beginning October 15, 2025. Workdays include Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Fridays during the Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters, and Mondays through Wednesdays during the Summer quarter, based on the academic calendar. This is a non-permanent hourly position in the dental clinic, and hours may vary per quarter.

The working conditions are the same as in a general practice. The schedule is organized with both the students' and dentists' needs in mind. The clinic typically schedules patients between 7:50 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. However, afternoons (1 pm to 5 pm) may be a possibility, depending on the dentist's availability and the clinic's needs. The clinic is closed during school breaks.

* Perform general dentistry in the Campus Clinic 5-10 hours a week;

* Responsible for diagnosis and treatment of patients and/or making appropriate referrals;

* Provide occasional on-call coverage for emergency and another provider's absence;

* Work closely with the Patient Services Supervisor, faculty, and staff to address clinic flow and operations

* Provide input continuously regarding the equipment, supplies, and instruction required in the clinic;

* Support dental clinic philosophy, policies, and standards;

* Treatment plan sealants for student clinical labs;

* Other related duties may include,

* Collaborate with the Dental Assisting Program Director on Dental Assisting

Minimum qualification:

* Two years' experience in the practice of dentistry and minimum of two (2) years of experience supervising dental staff or equivalent education and experience

* Licensed to practice dentistry in the State of Washington

* Ability to interact positively with diverse group of students, staff, and faculty

* Two or more years work experience as a dentist

* Excellent communication skills and ability to work with others

* Demonstrated experience or participation with persons from diverse backgrounds such as sexual orientation, racial, ethnic, religious, linguistic, gender, age, socio-economic, physical and learning abilities, and a commitment to an inclusive and equitable working/learning environment.
