Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Urology Physician and make a meaningful impact by providing essential surgical and urological care in Olympia, Washington. We are seeking dedicated professionals to support our demand for high-quality urology services through locum coverage, primarily focusing on call shifts that ensure continuous patient care. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide surgical and urological care to patients as part of the locum team.
- Cover approximately 1 week per month with 3 to 4 consecutive 24-hour call shifts.
- Respond to patient needs during call, averaging 4-5 hours of callback daily, with the possibility of increased hours based on caseload.
- Collaborate with hospital staff and ensure prompt, effective patient management during emergencies and routine consultations.
- Valid medical license to practice medicine in Washington State.
- Board certification or eligibility in Urology.
- Proven surgical experience in urology procedures.
- Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently during call shifts.
Skills:
- Experience with outpatient urological procedures.
- Familiarity with hospital electronic medical records systems.
- Previous locum or temporary staffing experience.
Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice in urology.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple cases efficiently and professionally.
- Must comply with all hospital and state regulations and maintain current medical licensure.
- Willingness to work 24-hour call shifts and adapt to flexible scheduling.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) preferred.
