Role Overview
As a Urology Provider, you will be the primary on-call urology specialist, providing critical coverage during a 24-hour period from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, supported by Advanced Practice Provider (APP) backup. The role entails working approximately 10-12 days per month, including clinic days, scheduled surgical procedures, and weekend/on-call duties. You will have the chance to engage in outpatient care, operative procedures, and weekend availability, contributing directly to patient outcomes and community health.
Required Skills
- Valid medical license and Board Certification in Urology
- Proven experience in both outpatient and surgical urology practices
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and procedural skills
- Ability to work independently and respond efficiently during on-call periods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Experience working in a hospital-based or outpatient setting
- Familiarity with the latest urological technologies and treatments
- Prior experience in a 24-hour call environment
- Ability to manage complex cases with confidence
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 3 years of post-residency experience in urology
- Prior experience in a similar on-call or hospital setting is highly desirable
- Availability to work on weekends and weekdays as needed
- Willingness to participate in a 24-hour call rotation
- Valid and current licensure, board certification, and credentials
- Ability to travel or relocate if necessary
