The ECEAP Preschool Program Center Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of dual site state-funded preschool centers. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a high-quality learning environment that fosters the cognitive, social, and emotional development of young children. The Supervisor is responsible for site recruitment, eligibility and enrollment of eligible children. The Supervisor will provide onsite leadership and support to staff, collaborate with families, and ensure compliance with all ECEAP performance standards, federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
The position reports to the ECEAP Administrator.
- Oversee the daily operations of the preschool program center, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
- Ensure classrooms are adequately staffed to always meet staff‑to‑child ratios.
- Purchase essential office and program supplies with ECEAP Administrator approval.
- Ensure all receipts are coded and turned in for approval weekly.
- Schedule, conduct, and document staff meetings, family nights, and professional development opportunities.
- Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback and support to teachers.
- Collaborate with ECEAP Administrator, Education and Disabilities Specialist, EA Coach, MH Specialist, Medical & dental offices, school district staff, and other partners as appropriate.
- Manage recruitment and enrollment, maintaining a minimum enrollment of 95%, and maintain accurate child records.
- Monitor and support staff to maintain program quality and contract deliverable compliance.
- Participate in bi‑weekly reflective supervision with the ECEAP Administrator.
- Support recruitment, hiring efforts, orientation training and supervise assigned staff.
- Supervise staff in accordance with personnel policies and procedures.
- Support staff orientation, safety training and other necessary training, provide career development advice, establish employee goals, conduct performance reviews, coach, counsel.
- Facilitate administrative responsibilities to supervises including approval of timesheets, mileage, expense requests and time‑off/travel requests, oversee coordination of office supply orders.
- Review and approve timecards & mileage for assigned staff.
- Consult with ECEAP Administrator when staff discipline or termination might be required.
- Work with transportation staff to ensure the maximum number of children with needs are added to bus routes.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and support. Discuss any performance issues with the ECEAP Administrator.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure staff adherence to all ECEAP performance standards and regulations.
- Conduct monthly reflective supervision meetings with all assigned staff.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with families.
- Organize and conduct family night events and workshops.
- Provide resources and support to help families meet their child's developmental needs and/or family needs.
- Collaborate with families, as appropriate, around Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for children with special needs.
- Ensure compliance with all ECEAP program standards, health regulations, and licensing requirements.
- Maintain accurate and complete program records.
- Prepare and submit required reports to funding agencies.
- Stay up to date on current ECEAP best practices and child development research.
- Enter USDA Meal Counts in WINS.
- Enter ELMS monthly reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the ECEAP Administrator to support the overall success of the preschool program.
Must be able to bend, sit, stand, and kneel. Lift objects 40+ pounds and fill in for other positions on occasion. Frequent travel between sites is required.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred). Associate Degree in ECE or ECE State Certificate (47 credits) required.
