Overview
Evergreen’s Graduate Program on the Environment, which awards the Master of Environmental Studies (MES) degree, seeks a faculty colleague to teach the elective “Environmental Communication” in Fall 2026. This is a one‑quarter part‑time adjunct faculty position dedicated to graduate students, teaching a 4‑credit MES elective in the evening (one night/week, Monday OR Wednesday).
Responsibilities- Lectures, workshops, seminar facilitation, and evaluation of student work.
- Teach techniques of mass communication and scientific writing.
- Provide a Zoom link for each class session for students that need to be remote‑only.
- Optionally conduct hands‑on workshops in campus facilities (e.g., media studios) in person and possibly on weekends or outside of class.
Hi‑flex: the faculty will be in person with students in a classroom, and a Zoom link will be offered for each class session for students that need to be remote‑only.
