Drain​/Sewer Specialist

Position Summary

Olympic Plumbing Technology is hiring a Drain Technician / Sewer Specialist to join our growing team in Olympia, WA.

This is a high-impact role for someone who can diagnose drain and sewer issues, perform drain cleaning, and present solutions to customers. This position combines technical skill, customer service, and sales, with strong earning potential through commission.

• Perform drain cleaning services on residential and commercial systems
• Conduct camera inspections to diagnose root causes of issues
• Identify opportunities for long-term solutions such as sewer line repair, replacement, or repiping
• Present Good Better Best options to customers on qualifying calls using Service Titan
• Educate customers on findings and clearly explain recommended solutions
• Follow the company sales process from initial service through job closeout
• Offer membership programs to eligible customers
• Accurately document findings, recommendations, and job details with photos and notes
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and internal teams to coordinate next steps
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked vehicle
• Participate in ongoing technical and sales training
• Assist with after-hours or weekend service rotation as needed
• Deliver a high level of customer service and professionalism

• Consistently identifying and presenting solution options to customers based on their needs
• Ability to convert service calls into approved work through clear communication and trust building
• Meeting or exceeding individual revenue and performance goals
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues in a way customers understand
• High level of customer satisfaction and professionalism
• Accurate and thorough documentation of all jobs, findings, and recommendations
• Reliable attendance, accountability, and teamwork

• 3+ years of experience in drain cleaning and plumbing systems preferred
• Strong communication, customer service & sales skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail in fast-paced environments
• Self-starter mindset with the ability to take ownership of jobs from start to finish
• Ability to coordinate multiple moving parts including materials, scheduling, and communication across teams
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot drain and sewer issues
• Comfort working in a role that includes both technical service and performance-based expectations
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to work independently in the field

• Take ownership of jobs beyond initial diagnosis by helping ensure a smooth transition to installation
• Gather accurate job details including materials, scope, and access requirements to support install team success
• Coordinate with warehouse, vendors, and subcontractors to assist in sourcing materials or scheduling when needed
• Ensure jobs are properly set up in Service Titan with clear notes, photos, and scope for execution
• Proactively identify potential job delays or gaps and communicate solutions before they impact scheduling
• Act as a bridge between the customer, sales process, and installation team to ensure a seamless experience

Compensation: 52K-62K plus commission ($100K +)
