About the PositionThe LOTT Clean Water Alliance seeks a motivated and detail‑oriented Engineering Project Manager to join our Engineering Team. The role focuses on leading projects from the Capital Improvement Plan and other organizational initiatives, managing design and construction phases, and ensuring project design meets quality and regulatory standards.
Essential Functions- Lead, facilitate, plan, and complete engineering and project management tasks related to the construction and upgrade of treatment plant equipment, facilities, and systems.
- Assess off‑site interceptor sewers and manholes, prioritize, and develop rehabilitation and replacement projects.
- Provide project management and engineering services for treatment plant projects with emphasis on asset rehabilitation and upgrades, coordinating sequencing to avoid disruption of treatment processes.
- Coordinate efforts with plant operations and maintenance staff during all project phases: planning, design, construction, start‑up, commissioning, project close‑out, and warranty periods.
- Prepare, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and analyze engineering projects.
- Attend meetings and assist in project development, performing engineering reviews of proposals with collaboration among Engineering, Plant Operations, and Maintenance staff.
- Graduation from a four‑year college or university with an ABET‑certified civil engineering or closely related program.
- Five or more years of experience in engineering project management, construction administration, and public works contracting.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Washington State or eligibility to obtain licensure within one year of hire.
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment, water quality, ecology, and related sciences preferred.
- Professional experience with government agencies, utilities, or environmental organizations desirable.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Participation in LOTT’s Health and Safety Program.
