Plant expansion project underway, just starting construction with start-up scheduled for the end of this year. Another plant expansion project planned to follow this one; so lots of capital available and lots of various things to gain experience in. Plant has a very in-demand product; they can sell as much as they can make.
About The Role:This person will work with 4 other engineers, 3 chemical engineers and an instrumentation/electrical engineer. The plant employs about 75 people including about 40 operators and was described by the engineering manager as a 'chemical engineering playground'. They run a full gamut of various unit operations (mostly semi-continuous/continuous processes including reaction, distillation, solids handling, liquid-liquid separation, centrifugation, pumps, heat exchangers, etc.
This position has been opened as a reflection of the growth happening here - this team does everything from process troubleshooting, to capital projects, to process improvement/optimization and beyond. The plant is located about 1/2 an hour from Olympia, WA with plenty of hiking and outdoor activities in the area. The coast is about 90 minutes away and the nearest International airport is about an hour away.

- B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering highly preferred, may consider a different engineering degree with the right background of experience
