HDR is looking for an experienced practitioner in fisheries engineering, restoration, and ecohydraulics to be a part of our thriving team in the Pacific Northwest practice area. This is an opportunity to join an established, highly successful team already solving the most challenging fisheries related engineering work throughout the West Coast. The candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise at the project level and assisting with growing HDRs fisheries program through development of client relationships and identification of opportunities for expansion of HDR s suite of environmental and water resource related services.

Responsibilities will include technical work, mentoring, team building, project management, business development, and client management. The candidate will also be responsible for establishing technical and project management strategies that emphasize quality, staff development, client satisfaction, and financial responsibility utilizing HDRs technology, standards, and project delivery practices. The primary duties of this position include planning, directing, and monitoring all aspects of large multi-discipline projects or medium sized projects with high degree of technical complexity.

The candidate will be involved with the production and coordination of several projects concurrently. This position offers additional opportunities for travel and working within other regions of practice across the United States and Canada.

In the role of Senior Project Manager - Fisheries
, we'll count on you to:

  • Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development & initiation to close-out)
  • Responsible for all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with high degree of technical complexity, involving a large project staff
  • Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently
  • Establish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
  • Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders
  • Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule
