Job Summary
WSECU is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Mortgage Loan Officer – External to grow our residential lending presence in the community. In this role, you’ll build and cultivate a strong network of referral partners, develop new business opportunities, and guide members through the home financing process with confidence and care. You’ll own your production through proactive outreach and a strategic marketing plan while delivering exceptional service that reflects WSECU’s Brand Promise.
Responsibilities- Originate mortgage loans, ensuring accurate pricing, structuring, and timely, compliant disclosures.
- Achieve or exceed production goals by actively marketing WSECU mortgage products, developing an individual marketing plan, and participating in campaigns and advertising.
- Deliver a high-quality member experience by upholding WSECU’s Brand Promise and collaborating with internal partners to enhance the end‑to‑end mortgage process.
- Manage the full loan lifecycle, including maintaining an active pipeline, submitting complete loan packages, and communicating proactively to ensure timely closings.
- Maintain required licensing and professional expertise, including NMLS continuing education and staying current on products, pricing, systems, and industry trends.
- Participate in team and organizational routines, including sales meetings, trainings, and business activities, while supporting team operations as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities, monitoring market trends, and supporting process enhancements.
- At least three (3) years of demonstrated mortgage loan origination experience, including familiarity with FHA/VA requirements.
- College degree in business or closely related field preferred (related experience may be substituted, year for year, for academic achievement).
- Bonus points if you have experience with condos, jumbo loans, and manufactured homes.
- Competitive Pay: $20.19 (or $22.21 for King County hires) hourly plus commission, with an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits package.

Where we’re located: 330 Union Ave SE, Olympia, WA 98501 (HQ). Where you’ll work:
This role operates out of WSECU branches all over Washington state, with some expected days at our HQ location.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm, full‑time minimum 40 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility required to meet the needs of this non‑exempt position.
