The WCSM Budget Director (Budget Analyst
4) leads financial management for the Workers' Compensation Systems Modernization Program at Washington Technology Solutions, overseeing budgeting, accounting, business analysis, and fiscal reporting. This role reports to the WCSM Deputy Program Director and serves as the key budget analyst to executive sponsors and program leadership. The position involves compiling financial reports, analyzing spending variances, developing monthly and quarterly reports, and presenting financial results to program executives.
qualifications:
- Nine years of professional experience in budget development, execution and report development
- Four years of professional experience in public sector budgeting and accounting
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot tables, charts, and formulas such as Vlookup and Sum If
- Experience with Washington state budget processes and appropriations cycle
- Experience with information systems such as AFRS, Workday, ERP reporting, or Apptio
- Experience budgeting for large technology implementation programs
