About the Position

The Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC) protects consumers, the public interest, and Washington's economy through fair and efficient regulation of the insurance industry. Our Company Supervision Division plays a critical role in that mission by evaluating the financial health and stability of insurers and other regulated entities—and taking action when needed to help ensure they can meet their obligations to consumers.

The Financial Analysis Team is looking for an Associate Financial Analyst (Financial Examiner
2) who knows how to look beyond the numbers. This is a role for a financial professional who enjoys analyzing financial statements, evaluating risk, identifying trends, and asking the questions that uncover what the numbers really mean.

You'll apply your accounting and auditing expertise to examine insurance company financial filings, assess financial condition and risk, evaluate compliance with regulatory requirements, and develop recommendations that support sound regulatory decisions. You'll work alongside experienced financial examiners and collaborate with regulators, legal professionals, and industry representatives across Washington and the country.

This is a Washington General Service position. The monthly salary range for this position is $5,928 - $7,973.

This is a Non-Permanent position with a duration of 6 months from start date.
