Job Description & How to Apply Below

The Washington Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) is looking for a Senior Policy Analyst to play a key role in shaping the future of Washington’s Superior Courts. In this role, you will engage in high‑impact projects that influence how courts operate across the state, analyzing and evaluating major changes to judicial programs, court practices and operational processes. Your work will help ensure that court systems are efficient, effective, fair, accessible and grounded in integrity.

From assessing proposed legislation and court rules to evaluating new resources and innovations, your expertise will guide decisions that directly affect the state’s justice system.

This is a senior‑level position for someone who thrives on complexity and autonomy. You will work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of sophisticated, technical projects that have statewide implications. The position is uniquely designated to support the Superior Court Judges’ Association (SCJA), providing policy analysis and guidance. While your day‑to‑day work is coordinated through the AOC, your priorities will be shaped by the SCJA Executive Committee, giving you a close connection to judicial leadership and an opportunity to influence meaningful change at the highest levels.
