Position Overview

Pretrial Services Program Coordinator (Senior Court Program Analyst) – Court Services Division, Administrative Office of the Courts.

Location:

Olympia, Washington. Salary range: $86,688–$113,736 per year (DOQ). Position type:
Temporary Full-Time
; funding until June 30, 2027.

Posting period:
June 25, 2026 – July 6, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate court program components with significant impact on judicial programs, including completion of complex or highly technical major projects.
  • Manage inter‑jurisdictional, comprehensive programs and/or complex/highly technical major projects; design and analyze alternative management techniques and estimate statewide impact of proposed changes; provide research, assessments, and recommendations to designated Manager or Executive.
  • Provide information, assessment, consultation, support, and recommendations to AOC, courts, associations, boards, and commissions within major operational areas (e.g., personnel management, contracting, performance management, budget development, court service delivery, and/or judicial system policy and procedure) to achieve consistent, efficient, and effective programs and operations.
  • Analyze and evaluate proposed legislation and its probable impact on project and program goals; prepare briefs on proposed legislation.
  • Supervise the work of other professional and support staff as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in court administration, public administration, political science, business administration, or a closely allied field.
  • Five years of responsible experience in court administration and/or program development, including at least one year in a supervisory or lead role and/or managing/directing groups or teams.
  • Expert knowledge and experience with the Washington State court system, laws, procedures, and practices within courts of limited and general jurisdiction; principles, best practices, and trends in court administration.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to set effective goals and achieve them using structured plans, timelines, and action steps.
  • Skill in prioritizing, managing time, and meeting deadlines while maintaining high‑quality work.
  • Proficiency in analysis, evaluation, and developing well‑supported recommendations and options.
  • Knowledge of Washington State’s justice system, court administration practices, policy issues, and NACM core competencies.
  • Effectiveness at facilitating strategic planning, visioning efforts, and challenging meetings with diverse stakeholders.
  • Understanding of customer expectations and delivery of work products that meet those needs.
  • Builds trust and credibility through honesty, professionalism, and respectful interactions.
