The Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC) seeks a qualified individual for the Functional Program Analyst 3 (FPA3) position. This role is within the Consumer Protection (Consumer Advocacy) Division and is based out of our Tumwater Office.

About the Position

Every day, Washington consumers rely on insurance to protect what matters most-their health, homes, businesses, and financial security. When questions arise or claims don't go as expected, our Consumer Advocacy team is there to help. At the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner
, we protect consumers, the public interest, and our state's economy through fair and efficient regulation of the insurance industry. As a Functional Program Analyst 3 with the Consumer Advocacy Program
, you'll serve as a trusted advocate for consumers by independently investigating insurance complaints, interpreting insurance laws and regulations, and working directly with insurance companies to ensure fair treatment. You'll combine analytical thinking, sound judgment, and exceptional communication skills to resolve disputes, educate consumers about their rights and coverage, and help hold insurers accountable when laws or regulations have not been followed.

This is a Washington General Service position. The monthly salary range for this position is $5,240 - $7,044.
