Correctional Records Technician
This position may be eligible to telework after initial onboarding and training and additional, occasional in office attendance will be required. The Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking highly motivated and qualified individual to fill a full-time permanent Correctional Records Technician (CRT) position with the Criminal Conviction Records (CCR) Unit. This position's duty station is located in Tumwater, WA. The Correctional Records Technician (CRT) completes the Criminal Conviction Records (CCR) process for sentenced individuals who are currently under DOC supervision or in prison.
The CRT position will review, analyze, and research a variety of official sources to obtain criminal conviction data prior to entering the information into the Offender Management Network Information (OMNI) system. In addition, the CCR Unit applies Revised Codes of Washington (RCW's) and department Policies to determine community supervision eligibility and if applicable, an Offender Release Plan (ORP) determination for individuals sentenced under the jurisdiction of DOC.
This position also supports agency staff/administration by providing recommendations involving data input, research to determine comparable crimes, CCR reviews/updates/corrections, Supervision Eligibility Screening Tools, and quality review audits.
