Ortho Technician – Olympia Orthopaedic Associates

Pay: $27.71 - $38.63 per hour (Pay is determined based on years of experience)

Summary of benefits: OOA covers part or all of the cost for Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Long-term Disability Insurance. Ortho Technician Summary

At Olympia Orthopaedic Associates, an Ortho Technician is a Medical Assistant who aids in patient care by performing the application and removal of casts, splints, and braces. You will help ensure proper healing of patient injuries through education of proper casting care and instruction on using crutches, walkers, and other aides. Along with administrative tasks, you could also be responsible for removal of sutures and staples, re-bandaging of wounds, and/or application of steri-strips.

Technician Requirements
  • High school Diploma or GED
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant, or the ability to become a Registered Medical Assistant within 90 days of hire.
  • Active BLS certification or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with casting and DME.
