MTP Tribal Program Manager (HCPM​/OTA) - Project

The MTP Tribal Program Manager serves as a statewide policy expert for the Washington State Health Care Authority's Medicaid Transformation Project initiatives affecting Tribal Nations and Indian health care providers. This telework-eligible project position, based in Olympia, leads the development and implementation of health care improvement initiatives, manages complex rule promulgation, and ensures compliance with state and federal requirements. The role reports to the Office of Tribal Affairs and focuses on maximizing access to quality care for American Indian/Alaska Native populations through policy analysis, contract management, and stakeholder engagement.

• Bachelor s degree in business administration, public administration, law, public health, health administration, or related field, plus 4 years of policy research and analysis experience; or 8 years of
• Two years of experience working with or for Tribes and/or Indian health care providers
• Ability to analyze and communicate information in multiple formats and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
• Knowledge of the Indian health care system and understanding of health care as a treaty right (preferred)
• Knowledge of the 1115 waiver (preferred)
