What You'll Do

Our Medical Assistants are an essential part of the patient experience and work closely alongside our dermatology providers throughout the day.

Responsibilities include:

  • Obtaining vital signs and measurements as appropriate
  • Preparing patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments
  • Assisting providers with dermatologic examinations and in-office procedures
  • Preparing examination and procedure rooms between patients
  • Cleaning and sanitizing exam rooms and workstations
  • Cleaning and processing medical instruments according to established protocols
  • Assisting with pathology‑related documentation and workflow
  • Communicating with providers and other members of the clinical team
  • Scheduling appointments and procedures as needed
  • Completing clinical and administrative tasks necessary to support excellent patient care

Once you have mastered the fundamentals of the position, you will also have the opportunity to cross‑train in medical scribing and expand your dermatology knowledge and responsibilities. Candidates with previous scribing experience are encouraged to let us know during the interview process.
