Required Experience: 5-7 years of experience in software development, systems design, or IT architecture. 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and large-scale cloud deployments.
Position DescriptionPing Wind is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Software/Cloud Architect to support the design and implementation of cloud-based and hybrid solutions while contributing to software architecture decisions. This role works under the guidance of senior architects to ensure systems are scalable, secure, and efficient. The Intermediate Architect collaborates with developers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions, optimize cloud resources, and help establish best practices for cloud adoption.
Responsibilities- Assist in designing cloud-native and hybrid architectures that meet business and technical requirements.
- Contribute to system architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and reference models.
- Support microservices, API-driven design, and integration across applications and platforms.
- Help deploy, configure, and manage services across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Support cloud migration, modernization, and optimization initiatives.
- Implement automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Formation.
- Work closely with developers, Dev Ops, and security engineers to ensure architectural alignment.
- Participate in Agile/Dev Sec Ops teams to deliver software in secure and scalable environments.
- Provide technical input during sprint planning, design sessions, and code reviews.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/Type Script).
- Familiarity with cloud-native services (serverless, storage, networking, databases).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI/CD tools and Dev Ops practices.
- Basic understanding of cloud security concepts, IAM, and compliance requirements.
- DoD 8140 Certification
- Master’s degree preferred.
