Applications Administrator

The Applications Administrator will play a vital role in managing and optimizing the suite of business applications that drive the Administrative Office of the Courts’ business operations, including contracting, human resources, court program management, and other business applications. The role is responsible for system technical administration, maintenance, configuration, and IT support of complex enterprise-wide applications that address the business requirements of the state courts system.

This position provides journey-level technical expertise to all application administration functions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with customers, business analysts, and other IT resources to administer application configuration, operation, maintenance, security, integrations, workflows, reports, and other key features.
  • Contribute to efforts to upgrade the applications this position supports.
  • Resolve application configuration issues within critical applications.
  • Consult with vendors on resolutions to identified issues.
  • Respond to customer service requests and provide journey-level consulting and troubleshooting.
  • Resolve service requests of moderate (Tier
    2) complexity related to assigned applications.
  • Participate in the resolution of service requests of major (Tier
    3) complexity related to assigned applications.
  • Analyze application issues, conduct research, and provide recommendations on solutions based on business and technical objectives.
  • Administer IT applications and associated components in collaboration with the entire application support team.
  • Coordinate and perform validation and tests for all changes to application configuration, operation, security, workflows, reports, and other key features.
  • Communicate application problems and issues to technical staff and business end users.
  • Proactively monitor application performance to identify emerging issues.
  • Develop system release documentation and communication.
  • Perform end user application security access maintenance.
  • Formulate routines and standards of practice to complete assigned tasks.
  • Create and maintain documentation for research and reference.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or closely allied field.
  • Four (4) years of experience in a complex information technology environment.
  • Three (3) years of experience as an administrator on an enterprise-level, complex application.
Preferred Experience , Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience with the administration of enterprise applications such as Docusign, Neo Gov, Fresh Desk, Sum Total, Salesforce, or similar enterprise resource planning software systems.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft 365 products, including Teams, Outlook, Word, One Note, PowerPoint, and others; appropriate to the responsibilities of the role.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Server and desktop operating system performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Skill using process management tools, version control systems, web services, and automated build/deploy agents.
  • Experience conducting triage and troubleshooting of application issues with server software, network and desktop software.
  • Ability to develop system and process documentation and technical documentation for end-users.
  • Ability to follow flow charted procedures to accomplish all aspects of critical tasks.
  • Ability to write simple to moderately complex Power Shell scripts.
