Full-time, Permanent, Represented position (WFSE).

- Olympia, WA.
Salary: $7,010.00 - $9,429.00 Monthly.
The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Information Technology Division seeks an IT Network & Telecoms Administrator – Journey to manage, sustain, and protect Washington’s lands and waters by supporting our agency’s networks.
Responsibilities- Fully support, configure, maintain, and upgrade local and wide area network environments.
- Coordinate and negotiate WAN circuit upgrades, downgrades, and migrations based on agency business needs.
- Configure and operate protocol-independent multicast (PIM) and Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) for Radio over IP services.
- Configure and operate multiple dynamic routing protocols.
- Document, implement, and maintain network infrastructure collaboratively with teams and vendors.
- Assist in implementation of security solutions in line with enterprise network best practices.
- Serve as technical resource for Next Generation Firewall (NGFW), monitoring, analyzing anomalous activity, processing policy changes, and maintaining documentation.
- Serve as technical resource for Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), purchasing, licensing, configuring, and deploying wireless access points, and assisting with upgrades and replacements.
- BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related field and 4 years of relevant professional IT Network & Telecommunications experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a medium or large organization with network, communications, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience creating detailed technical documentation and procedures.
- Clear verbal and written communication of technical concepts and troubleshooting steps.
- Sound judgment in determining escalation paths and recommending solutions.
- Effective collaboration with team members, vendors, and other departments.

Duty station in NRB Building, Olympia. Hybrid telework arrangements with prior supervisor approval. - Travel:
Occasional.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices.
- Certifications:
CCNA, CCNP, CCENT/CCT, CCDP, CCDE, CCIE, A+, Security+, Network+. - Experience with Cisco, HPE, Aruba, Palo Alto, Solar Winds Orion APM, NPM, NCM, NTA, IPAM, Netflow services.
