Telework PolicyThis position is currently eligible to telework. It will require the employee to work in the office at least 1 to 2 days per week and will include some travel within the State of Washington.

We are hiring an IT System Administrator – Entry located in Olympia, WA, reporting to the IT Dev Ops Supervisor within the Information Technology Services Division (ITSD).
Position OverviewAs a System Administrator on the Operational Support Dev Ops Team, you will administer, maintain, monitor, and support WSLCB mission‑critical applications and enterprise platforms. Responsibilities include application support, operational maintenance, automation, and system administration across agency SaaS, COTS, database, and custom‑developed application environments.
The role focuses on application support for mission‑critical systems, providing basic configuration, data management, analysis, and documentation. You will also provide technical support to external users and manage account permissions. Critical issues may arise requiring after‑hours work.
Key Responsibilities- Account creation and maintenance for Cannabis Central Reporting System, Tax and Fee reporting, Content Management, Workflow, and data services.
- Administration, maintenance, and support of associated SaaS and COTS solutions using administration and configuration toolsets.
- Coordinate and schedule system updates and upgrades with solution providers.
- Assist vendors and third‑party integrators to resolve complex system issues.
- Collaborate with product management, system analysts, and business analysts for user story refinement.
- Use Azure Dev Ops to manage all tasks and work estimation.
- Document problem‑solving processes, including decisions and actions taken.
- Communicate application problems and issues to stakeholders, including leadership, product management, development teams, and end users.
- Create knowledge base articles to aid in problem resolution.
- Manage and respond to service requests and incidents via the Agency’s ITSM system.
- Continuously expand your knowledge and skills related to technologies and systems.
- Experience administering Microsoft stack custom applications, logging, and event triggers.
- Experience with SaaS and COTS enterprise‑wide multi‑tier applications.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical audiences; professional and courteous interactions.
- Knowledge of business intelligence application administration and data source management.
- Experience in IT system maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for applications or databases.
