Information is integral to our dynamic cycle, and information engineers work at the very front of this by creating legitimate datasets that drive analysis and decision production across the company. In this role you will shape how we estimate business performance, characterize how we change data, and scale data and analytical tools to support our growing business, driving higher quality, faster decisions.
Responsibilities- Characterize and own group‑level data designs for a trusted, governed, consistently displayed data store that empowers employees to rapidly and reliably answer business questions.
- Identify new data sources, address data quality issues, plan and create a data quality validation system, and continuously improve data value.
- Lead unit, integration, and framework tests on data sources to validate data against source schemas, and persistently enhance performance to improve query speed and reduce cost.
- Build search, reporting, and analytics interfaces in our BI tools and promote adoption across the organization through training and enablement programs.
- Improve data engineering, modeling, testing, and operational excellence practices, providing architecture guidance and implementing best practices.
- Drive initiatives that further develop data and analytics processes.
- 3+ years of experience in data design, programming, or related roles.
- 3+ years of experience with data modeling, SQL, SQL tuning, OLAP, and large‑data platform technologies.
- 3+ years creating and maintaining data pipelines from multiple sources, collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
- 3+ years using Amazon Web Services, S3, EMR, Redshift, and related tools.
- Experience with best practices for improving data quality, version control, code reviews, and documentation.
- Experience in coding languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Passion for data science and interest in developing or learning data science and AI at scale.
