IT Customer Support - Entry

The IT Customer Support - Entry position within the Washington State Department of Agriculture's Information Technology Service Desk provides agency-wide technical support for critical business systems, computers, mobile devices, and telecommunications. The role troubleshoots and resolves enterprise application and hardware issues, helping end users and improving business productivity through quick resolution of service interruptions. This is a full-time permanent position located in Olympia, Washington, serving an agency responsible for food safety, agricultural regulation, and environmental protection.

• Associate degree or higher in Computer Science or Information Technology, or completion of a two-year accredited IT vocational training program
• Two years of IT experience such as consulting, analyzing, designing, installing or maintaining software, hardware, telecommunications, or network infrastructure
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, independently analyze, and weigh risks versus benefits in decisions
• Demonstrated skill in delivering presentations and presenting complex information in an understandable way
• A+ Certification or equivalent experience (desired)
• Two or more years of experience in an ITIL/ITSM model Service Desk environment (desired)
