The Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) provides support, coordination and oversight for Washington State's system of 34 public community and technical colleges through three divisions - Educational Services, Business Operations, Information Technology - and the Executive Director's Office.

The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) is seeking qualified candidates to fill a recently vacated People Soft Developer & Support Engineer position within the Application Services team. The Application Services department within SBCTC's Information Technology Division is responsible for delivering enterprise applications and related support services to Washington State's community and technical colleges, as well as the State Board office.
The People Soft Developer and Support Engineer will perform technical support, development, and maintenance functions for the ctcLink ERP system, which includes People Soft Human Capital Management, Campus Solutions, and Financials suites. The role will have a primary focus on Oracle's People Soft Human Capital Management (HCM) suite. This position will serve as a technical subject matter expert for HCM applications and business processes, while supporting People Tools, integrations, accessibility, and collaboration across the broader ctcLink environment as needed.

The position requires the ability to analyze complex technical issues, research and identify solutions, and deliver coding, configuration, and data-driven resolutions. Strong written, planning, analytical, and verbal communication skills are essential to effectively collaborate with functional teams, technical staff, and system stakeholders.

This is a full-time, exempt position. The annual compensation for this position is $107,352 to $107,352. Washington State has a generous benefit package including health, dental, life insurance, long-term disability, retirement, and two optional deferred compensation programs. This position may be eligible for up to 100% telework, consistent with agency policy and operational needs.

The selected candidate must be available to work during regular business in the Pacific Time (PT) zone.

Duties
  • Provide expert-level technical application support for Oracle's People Soft Campus Solutions, Human Capital Management, and/or Financials application. Work directly with functional analysts, security analysts and end users to provide root cause analysis of issues related to data integrity, delivered Oracle code, customizations and integrations with third-party systems. Identify and troubleshoot coding and/or data issues by utilizing application and server log files, People Tools software and components and SQL Developer software.
