The Senior Identity and Access Management Engineer designs, develops, and supports customer IAM solutions using Ping One Identity Cloud for the Washington Health Benefit Exchange, which operates the health insurance enrollment portal used by one in four Washington residents. The role manages user lifecycle automation, implements access controls and security protocols like SSO and MFA, integrates applications with IAM systems, and supports migration to Okta.
The position collaborates with IT, security, and product teams to ensure secure, compliant IAM solutions across cloud platforms and participates in Agile development cycles.
- Minimum 7 years Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) implementation experience, with at least 3 years using Ping One Identity Cloud
- Hands-on experience with Okta including SSO, MFA, federation, and identity lifecycle management
- Hands-on implementation of OAuth, OIDC, SAML authentication protocols and experience integrating web, mobile, and API applications with IAM platforms
- Hands-on software development or scripting experience in Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages
- Experience supporting IRS/CMS or other relevant audits in IAM context and working in Agile/Scrum environments
- REST API integration experience with IAM services and familiarity with Dev Ops processes and change management
