Position Overview
This is a dual position:
• The forklift operator ensures the packaging, handling, and shipment of a quality product that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
• The palletizer operator works independently inspecting product and line.

SalaryHourly rate: $30.04 – $30.04 per hour (actual salary determined by skill and experience).

- Ensures all equipment, guards, and safety devices are in place at all times.
- Operates sit‑down propane forklift to transport inventory and load tractor trailers for shipment.
- Transports inventory in the warehouse to correct locations and stages orders for shipment.
- Understands the daily production schedule and coordinates with management and coworkers.
- Performs visual inspection of aluminum cans and packaging quality.
- Monitors schedules, equipment, or processes and reports problems to the Supervisor.
- Follows all SOPs and communicates concerns or issues to the proper personnel.
- Assists Quality Assurance in locating pallets for sampling.
- Performs other related duties as required.
The palletizer operator is an entry‑level position responsible for operating automatic can palletizing equipment to pattern and/or transfer cans to and from pallets.
Job Requirements- Minimum 18 years old.
- High school diploma or G.E.D preferred.
- Equivalent 3+ years of sit‑down forklift experience required.
- Experience working in a manufacturing setting (high‑speed manufacturing preferred).
- Ability to withstand extreme climate changes, especially during summer and winter months.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and teamwork ability.
- Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
- Strong record‑keeping skills and attention to detail.
- Capability to stand for prolonged periods and work on elevated stationary platforms.
- Must be able to work 12‑hour shifts, nights from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. or days from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., including weekends and overtime as business needs dictate.
- Union membership required after 30 days of hire.
- OSHA/Forklift Trainer Certified.
- Experience in the beverage packaging industry.
- Knowledge of AS400.
