This is a full-time, hourly day shift position. Hourly employees are represented by the IAM-AW Union. Benefits (in accordance with the Labor Agreement) include medical, dental, vision, 401k plans, vacation, and holidays. Rate of pay starts at $33.78 with the potential of reaching $36.09 per hour after proven competency in accordance with the labor agreement.
Key Functions:
Committed to work safely and adhere to log yard safety procedures
Safely and competently operate equipment associated with loading and unloading trucks
Recognize log sorts and place them in the appropriate inventory storage
Collaborate with team members, as well as work independently
Contribute positively within a highly efficient and safe work team Adapt to job assignments changes and flow to work as needed
Perform overtime duties when needed to meet customer demands
Prioritize work schedule and work under pressure
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license
Experience working in a log yard and/or operating log handling equipment
Knowledge of log sorts, putting logs in and out of storage decks, unloading and loading log trucks
Successful completion of pre-employment physical, background check, and drug screen
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card) as a condition of employment
This position is designated by WY as a safety-sensitive position. Please be advised that due to the designation of this position as safety-sensitive, you will be subject to pre-employment testing for cannabis and its metabolites.
What We Offer Compensation:
Your wages and benefits are set by the labor agreement between Weyerhaeuser and the union representing employees at this work site. We are targeting a pay rate of $33.78 with the potential of reaching $36.09 per hour after proven competency in accordance with the labor agreement.
