Key Responsibilities- Perform basic nursing skills, including attending to personal hygiene and dietary needs of patients.
- Safely and effectively use patient care equipment (e.g., pulse oximeter, sequential compression devices, monitors).
- Establish and maintain effective work relationships with staff, physicians, hospital and university officials, and the public.
- Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills; basic math proficiency.
- Follow verbal and written directions in detail.
- Work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding patient information.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of Nursing Assistant training program.
- Six months or more experience as a Nursing Assistant or nursing technician.
- Current District of Columbia Nursing Assistant License.
- Current BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
- Ability to perform basic nursing skills and maintain patient safety.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
