Position: Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job

Overview

Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Olympia, Washington. Start date 07/14/2026 for a 13‑week assignment. Weekly pay $1,891–$1,915 per week. Shift: Days, 3x12‑hour shifts. Hospital setting with a Labor & Delivery unit that provides Level II NICU support (32+ weeks). This travel opportunity requires weekend coverage every other weekend and offers formal orientation and unit‑specific onboarding.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to women in active labor, during postpartum, and in C‑section recoveries; monitor fetal status and maternal vitals; administer medications as prescribed
  • Circulate for cesarean deliveries, assist in OR recovery, and manage postpartum/transition care for the mother and newborn
  • Support neonatal needs including stabilization, with Level II NICU support for 32+ weeks gestation; assist with common NICU‑related conditions and short‑term transport as required
  • Document accurately in the charting system (EPIC); participate in handoffs, communicate with physicians, anesthesia, respiratory therapy, social services, and unit secretary
  • Maintain adherence to unit protocols for labor support, postpartum couplet care, IV starts, and routine postpartum education for families
  • Float between like units (POD and sitter) as needed; weekend coverage required every other weekend; on‑call not required but may be requested
Requirements
  • Active RN license in Washington (pending WA license accepted with quick‑start consideration)
  • Minimum 2 years RN experience; required clinical experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Cesarean care
  • Certifications:

    BLS, NRP, ACLS; preferred: AWHONN Intermediate
  • Education:

    Graduation from an accredited nursing program; current RN licensure
  • Ability to work in a Labor & Delivery unit with Level II NICU support; ability to float between related units as needed
  • RTO:
    All requested time off must be included with submittal; one pre‑approved time off is permitted
  • Locational requirement:
    Candidates residing within 50 miles of Olympia, WA are not eligible for this travel assignment
  • References:
    Two professional references covering at least one year of practice within the last three years
  • Orientation: 36 hours of pre‑arrival orientation
