Job Summary: Pediatric Floor (Peds RN) Nights (Olympia, WA). A Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in a short‑term acute care setting, working within a pediatric unit located within a post partum unit. Responsibilities focus on providing clinical care for pediatric patients across multiple diagnoses, including respiratory and post‑surgical conditions. Candidates must bring their license on the first day.
Job Details- Schedule:
3×12 night shift, 36 hours per week, weekend coverage required (EOW) - Required Qualifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); EPIC charting experience;
Pediatric floor experience with 1 year minimum - Preferred Qualifications:
Previous charge experience - Float:
Float rotation may be required between Post Partum and Special Care Nursery - Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - On‑Call:
None required - Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care for pediatric patients including asthma/bronchiolitis, upper respiratory infections, suicidal ideation/psych issues, post‑surgical cases (simple procedures), failure to thrive, jaundice, non‑accidental trauma, post‑partum care, vaginal deliveries, and C‑section patients
- Deliver pediatric medical‑surgical support including breastfeeding support/handling of breast milk, feeding (bottle, breast, gavage), oxygen delivery, and BiPAP/CPAP management
- Manage isolation precautions and PPE; perform central line/implanted line care
