Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is hiring a PCU Float RN with charge nurse experience for a night shift position requiring compact WA RN licensure and Epic experience.

• Active WA or compact RN license required, must be in hand at submission
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Experience practicing in the US required (Canadian experience alone does not qualify)
• Epic EMR experience required
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, and MS/Tele settings preferred
• Skills in respiratory management, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and cardiac monitoring preferred
• 2 professional references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required

• Float RN role covering PCU/Step down and various units within the hospital as census needs dictate
• Patient population may include ER boarded patients, telemetry, and med-surg cases
• Nurse to patient ratio varies 1:4-6 depending on unit acuity
• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 19:00-07:30
• May include charge nurse responsibilities on smaller units staffed with 1-2 RNs supported by LPNs and CNAs, including managing staffing needs, bed flow, and coordination
• Uses Epic charting system
• Required to float between sister facilities as needed
• Provide direct patient care and, on select units, function as the sole charge RN managing staffing, bed flow, and coordination
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be granted
• Local candidates accepted at standard bill rate
• Radius requirement of 50 miles for local candidate rate purposes
• Former permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Facility does not accept candidates with Nursys or background check hits
• This is a Short Term Acute Care hospital with 325 staffed beds
