Position Summary
The Hospice Care Consultant (HCC) models Compassus values—Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, Innovation—promotes the philosophy, and uses the 6 Pillars of Success. This high‑performing sales professional builds relationships with healthcare providers, identifies eligible patients, and ensures rapid admission.

- Drive growth within the assigned book of business by opening new accounts and expanding existing accounts.
- Leverage Compassus‑provided tools for detailed market analysis and identify new opportunities.
- Secure referrals from physicians, staff, and administrators and partner with operations to admit clinically‑eligible patients quickly.
- Meet or exceed weekly performance goals and exceed productivity expectations.
- Build and maintain trust‑based relationships with referral sources using a consultative sales approach.
- Show genuine compassion and empathy to patients and families and maintain resilience in challenging situations.
- Prioritize the patient and be willing to work outside standard hours to support patients in need.
- Seek feedback from referral sources on service levels and respond rapidly to protect relationships.
- Adapt to changes in business priorities, team structure, and market dynamics.
- Provide clinical training and education to referral partners to improve hospice care understanding.
- Bachelor's degree in Business strongly preferred.
- Five (5) or more years of successful sales experience in relevant roles.
- Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and growing new accounts.
- Strong customer relationship‑management skills that sustain long‑standing accounts.
- Experience in hospice, home health, or broader healthcare preferred, but top‑performing sales professionals who understand hospice challenges are encouraged to apply.
- Mathematical:
Add, subtract, multiply, divide, calculate rates, ratios, percentages. - Language and communication:
Influence senior leaders, read and analyze professional literature, write reports, present information, and respond to questions effectively. - Other:
Adaptability, clinical knowledge, stakeholder engagement, professional presence, and strong written and verbal communication in English.
The role requires regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity; lifting up to 25 pounds; and visual acuity for close and distance vision, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus. Adaptations can be made for disabilities.

CompensationAnnual base salary range $80,000.00 – $ plus incentives.
