Asbestos Abatement Worker (Certified)
Location:
Tumwater, WA
Pay: $26.00–$30.00 per hour (based on experience and certifications)
About the RolePrecision Abatement, LLC is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Asbestos Technician to support our growing mitigation and environmental team. If you're hands-on, safety-focused, and looking to build a long-term career with a top-tier restoration company, we want to talk to you.
What You'll Do- Support asbestos removal and abatement tasks under the direction of an Asbestos Supervisor
- Set up and maintain regulated work areas, containments, and decontamination systems
- Use wet methods, HEPA vacuums, negative-air machines, and other abatement tools
- Safely remove and handle asbestos-containing materials
- Follow all required personal and equipment decontamination procedures
- Inspect, wear, and maintain PPE and respiratory protection
- Keep job sites, tools, vehicles, and equipment clean and organized
- Protect customer property and maintain a professional presence
- Participate in daily safety meetings and complete job documentation
- Follow company procedures and all OSHA, EPA, WA L&I, and DOSH regulations
- Assist with demolition, cleanup, and other field duties as needed
- Current Washington State Asbestos Worker Certification Card
- Medical clearance and respirator fit test (or ability to obtain both)
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- Ability to meet company motor-vehicle insurance requirements
- Ability to pass a background check
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal safety instructions
- Previous experience in asbestos abatement, demolition, restoration, or construction
- OSHA certifications or other environmental/construction-related credentials
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Experience working in regulated or safety-sensitive environments
Work Environment &
Schedule:
- Full-time position starting at 7:30 a.m. each day
- Work performed at residential and commercial job sites across the region
- Fast-paced, hands-on field environment
- Mix of indoor and outdoor work settings
- Job sites may include hot, humid, confined, or otherwise challenging spaces
- Regular use of protective gear, respirators, and regulated work areas
- Frequent teamwork and communication with supervisors and crew members
- Occasional overtime, weekend work, or adjusted schedules based on project needs
