Position: IT Data Management – Entry Level (02IT) –
Permanent/Full‑time

Salary Range: $69,072 – $92,904 (effective 7/1/2026)

Location: Tumwater, WA (Thurston County) – Hybrid/Remote flexible

Job Type: Full Time – Permanent

• Develop and enhance reports and dashboards for agency staff using SSRS, advanced Excel, and Tableau.
• Perform customizations and integrations with commercial off‑the‑shelf solutions.
• Develop interfaces via approved APIs to pull data from various sources into agency databases.
• Identify root causes and resolve incidents by providing work‑arounds or fixing bugs in existing code.
• Develop & maintain integrations between third‑party platforms and agency systems for secure information exchange.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from on‑premises, cloud, and SaaS systems into data marts and warehouses.
• Administer, monitor, and support agency platforms, including SQL Server, SSRS, SSAS, Tableau, and Snowflake.
• Conduct SQL coding reviews and recommend best practices for consistency, security, functionality, and efficiency.

• Six (6) years of professional experience in database administration, data analytics, dashboard development, or related areas.
• OR:
  Associate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field plus four (4) years of relevant experience.
• OR:
  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field plus two (2) years of relevant experience.

• Microsoft SQL Server, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Java Script
• SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• SQL and Transact‑SQL, ETL Technologies, SQL Server Management Studio, Microsoft Visual Studio
• Analytic dashboard creation (Tableau, Power BI)
• Agile software development methodologies, RESTful APIs, version control (Team Foundation Server or equivalent)
