Transportation Logistics, Truck Driver
LOCATION: NATIONAL REMOTE. The Driver (Non‑Emergency) loads and transports vehicles (Ambulances, Trailers, Cars, and Trucks) to various locations throughout the USA. This position prefers a Class A CDL with a good driving record. Drivers will frequently contact company leadership and corporate customers and are expected to be courteous, well‑groomed, and productive. Vehicles must always be operated safely and kept neat, clean, and sanitary.
STARTING COMPENSATION: $29/hr part‑TIME PER DIEM.
Key Responsibilities- Transport vehicles using company owned/rental trucks and trailers.
- Perform daily DOT safety inspections and GMR inspections on company trucks, trailers, equipment and loads.
- Accurately maintain required documentation and invoices for vehicles, expenses, driver logs and DOT regulations.
- Plan the most efficient routes to minimize travel time and fuel consumption while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Document and log work/rest periods through the E‑Log system (where applicable). Utilize straps and tie‑down devices in safe condition and replace those that are damaged or worn.
- Report all accidents and/or violations (including but not limited to Logistics/Operations) and other duties as assigned.
- The job primarily involves long hours on the road with night, and weekend shifts required.
- Work as part of a team, especially on long haul routes where two drivers share driving responsibilities.
- Maintain proper work dress/uniform while on duty.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Pass a background check with no criminal felonies (evaluated case‑to‑case).
- Pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical agility test with ability to lift 50 lbs.
- A valid state driver’s license and an acceptable driving record, including no more than one major violation in the past three years, no careless or reckless driving charges, no more than two moving violations, and no more than one at‑fault accident in the past three years (records will be verified).
- If CDL:
Must have current DOT medical certification. - Must be able to speak and write English.
- Basic understanding of truck maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Willing to travel across the country for pick‑up and drop‑off.
- Local and long‑haul with overnight or multi‑day routes.
- Perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading cargo.
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines and time constraints.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations.
