Job Position: CDL-A Local Route Delivery (Hands off)

Pay Rate: $29.50/hr

Job summary:

Driving a Semi truck for a moving company based out of Lakewood and Lacey WA

Job Duties /Responsibilities

- Operate and drive commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.

- Transport goods and materials to designated locations as per assigned routes and schedules.

- Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure they are in proper working condition, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and other essential components.

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours of service in compliance with applicable regulations.

- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues.

- Follow company policies, safety protocols, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Valid CDL-A driver's license with a clean driving record.

- Active MED Card

- Active TWIC Card

- Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS) rules.

- Ability to operate various types of commercial vehicles, such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, or tankers, depending on company needs.

- Familiarity with GPS devices, electronic logging devices (ELDs), and other transportation-related technology.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections accurately.

- At least 2 years of on road experience.

- Excellent communication and time management skills.

- Willingness to travel long distances and work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
